DevDeck is a free-to-play digital trading card game. Every card is a public GitHub repository; the rarer ones are simply the ones with more stars. The daily booster is free; extra card packs and Commits, the in-game currency, can be bought (see Pricing).
1. What you get
An account, a collection, and the right to play. Cards, Commits and packs exist inside the game and have no value outside it. They cannot be sold, exchanged for money, or transferred to another account except through the in-game trade system, between players who have added each other as friends.
2. Commits bought with real money
Commits can also be bought - see the pricing page. What you buy is a licence to use them inside DevDeck - personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable - not a good you own. They are consumed when spent and are not refundable once spent, except where the law says otherwise.
Payments are processed by Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record. Paddle sells the Commits in its own name, handles billing and taxes, and answers customer service enquiries about a payment - so that is the name you will see on your bank statement.
3. Right of withdrawal and refunds
If you live in the European Union or the United Kingdom you have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal on digital content. By asking for the Commits to be credited immediately at checkout, you explicitly accept that this right lapses once they are delivered and spent.
Unspent Commits can still be refunded within those 14 days: write to contact@devdeck.fr, or ask Paddle Support directly. The Refund Policy gives the details.
4. What we ask of you
- One account per person, and a handle that is not someone else’s.
- No automated play - scripts that open boosters or trade on your behalf spoil the only thing a collecting game has, which is the pace at which a collection fills.
- No attempt to forge Commits, cards or trades: exploiting a bug, tampering with the game in memory, or running a modified client. The economy is computed on the server; attempts are visible and accounts that make them are suspended or closed.
- No abuse or fraud in trades - a trade is between two players who chose each other.
5. Who can play
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account, or older where your country requires it. Under 18, you need the permission of a parent or guardian before buying anything with real money.
6. Repository content
Names, descriptions, avatars and statistics come from the public GitHub API and belong to their respective owners. A card is a reference to a public project, not a claim over it. If you own a repository and would rather it did not appear, write to contact@devdeck.fr and it will be removed from the catalogue.
7. The game can change, and can end
Drop rates, prices and rewards may be adjusted; the in-game guide always states the rates in force. If DevDeck shuts down, we will announce it at least 30 days beforehand and stop selling Commits immediately.
8. No warranty beyond the law
The game is provided “as is” and “as available”. We keep it running and fix what breaks, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Nothing here removes the rights your local consumer law gives you.
9. Closing your account
You can ask for your account and everything in it to be deleted at any time, by writing to contact@devdeck.fr. We hold it for 30 days in case the request was a mistake, then remove it for good: cards, Commits and trade history go with it. Commits already bought are not refunded by a deletion.
